Retrieve data from Finder, iTunes and Apple Devices backups
iBackup Extractor is a desktop application that helps users access and recover data stored in iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups created by Finder or iTunes on Mac. Because iOS backups are not designed to be human-readable, iBackup Extractor provides a structured way to preview backup contents and selectively extract individual items to a computer—even if the original iOS device is no longer available.
iBackup Extractor finds your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad backups automatically. You can choose the backup you wish to browse and extract files from, and proceed to view the backup of your Call Logs, Contacts, Messages, Photos, Calendars, Internet Browsing History and Bookmarks, Notes, App Data, all directly in Backup Extractor. Once you've selected what you wish to extract, the operation is as simple as clicking a button. Literally, click "Copy" to transfer those files, converted to a readily available format, directly to your computer. Another feature present in iBackup Extractor is the Backup Explorer, which allows you to see the file system itself, and to copy files from it. Finally, you can use iBackup Extractor to create new backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, as well as restore your device from backup.

I was really hoping that this app would recover my information from the iTunes backup. However, the information retrieved from the calendar only listed events without dates, so it was pretty useless. The pictures were retrieved, but unfortunately, most of them turned out to be too small. On top of that, I couldn't even download my pictures to the computer because the app kept crashing. Overall, it was a useless experience for me.
